Emergency Vet Care in Tampa, FL
If you suspect that your pet is having an urgent or emergent medical issue, call (813) 793-7732 right away to speak with our team. We’ll tell you what to do next to ensure your pet is out of harm’s way or able to get the care they need quickly.
Our hospital can provide some emergency services, such as stabilization, but if your pet needs extensive care and overnight hospitalization, we may need to refer them to the appropriate emergency facility. This also applies if your pet is having an emergency after hours.

Signs Your Pet is Having an Emergency
Should your pet experience any of the following, reach out to our hospital or one of our recommended emergency vets right away.
- Difficulty breathing
- Signs of pain (slow movement, vocalizing frequently, flinching, not eating)
- Has not had food or water for 24+ hours
- Breathing and panting heavily
- Lethargic and sleeping all the time
- Acting confused and disoriented
- Was hit by a car
- Fell from a high place
- Has ongoing diarrhea and/or vomiting
- Hemorrhaging from a wound or orifice
- Was attacked by another dog or cat, or a wild animal
- Cannot urinate or pass stool
